St. Sark, the General Overseer of Open Arms Ministries, is urging President-Elect John Mahama to take a strong stance against corruption in the outgoing administration. Specifically, St. Sark is calling for the prosecution of individuals found to be involved in corrupt deals, including those related to the national cathedral, bank sector clearance, and COVID-19 vaccines.
St. Sark emphasizes that the incoming government must thoroughly investigate these matters and bring those found guilty to justice. This, he believes, will serve as a deterrent to others and help to restore trust in the government.
Again, government in power to jail anyone who has caused financial lost to the state, mostly those who were in charge of Board of Trustees on the National Cathedral program initiated by Nana Addo Dankwah and those who collapsed some Banks in Ghana even Former Finance Minister Ofori Atta. We should jail them and being questioned on why they cause financial lost to the state.
Interestingly, President-Elect John Mahama has already expressed his commitment to tackling corruption head-on. During his Governance Forum in Accra, Mahama pledged to investigate and prosecute corrupt officials, leveraging the expertise of both local and foreign investigators.¹
St. Sark is also calling for the resignation of the head of the electoral commission and her subordinates, citing their failure to meet the expectations of Ghanaians. He believes that this will help maintain peace and stability in the country.
