The Municipal Chief Executive for Nzema East Municipality of the Western Region, Hon. Frank Okpenyen popularly known as Franko has sent a goodwill message to all Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in his area and across the country, which commences today, Monday 4, 2018 and ends on Friday, June 8.
A goodwill message signed by the MCE and copied to GhanaWeb’s Western Regional Correspondent states that “I am highly optimistic that you have prepared yourselves very well to meet the task ahead of you. It is my prayer and hope that the good Lord will let his favour and strength shine upon you”.
He also used the opportunity to plead with the invigilators to be vigilant and act professionally in the execution of their duties, “they must eschew all forms of intimidation and unnecessary yelling in the examination halls”.
He, therefore, commended President Akufo-Addo for absorbing the BECE registration fees.
He also prayed for the candidates to have favour from God and pass very well.
“It is my prayer and hope that the good Lord will let his favour and strength shine upon you. Fear not for victory is yours already; God shall protect, guide and grant you retentive memory as you journey through this week of examination”, he prayed.

MY GOODWILL MESSAGE TO FINAL YEAR STUDENTS WRITING 2018 BECE IN THE NZEMA EAST MUNICIPALITY
The annual Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for final year students in Junior High Schools is here once more. It is on this background that I, Hon Frank Okpenyen Municipal Chief Executive for NZEMA EAST Municipality wish all candidates sitting for this year`s BECE the best of luck in their examinations.
In all humility I would want to use this opportunity to draw the attention of parents and teachers to motivate and support the candidates financially and spiritually throughout this five day journey.
I am highly optimistic that you have prepared yourselves very well to meet the task ahead of you. It is my prayer and hope that the good Lord will let his favour and strength shine upon you. Fear not for victory is yours already; God shall protect, guide and grant you retentive memory as you journey through this week of examination.
My piece of advice to all the candidates is that, they should do everything possible to desist from all forms of examination malpractices and practices which do not conform to the doctrines and principles of the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) which could affect their educational fortunes.
