Former Minister of Lands and Natural Resources Nii Osah Mills has been convicted of contempt by the general jurisdiction courts in Accra.
Osah Mills’ conviction comes on the back of a high level contempt case against the former minister in 2017 after ignoring an injunction to go ahead with a conveyance of huge parcels of land belonging to the Aviation Authority.
The Judge sitting on the case, Justice Ayini ruled that the former minister pays a Ghc 5,000 fine for disobeying court orders.
A contempt case against the Minister of Lands and Mineral Resources, Nii Osah Mills, was filed last year for ignoring an injunction to go ahead with a conveyance of huge parcels of land belonging to the Aviation Authority which the Ga Chiefs and people filed a suit to stop the Minister.
The case in court was led by renowned lawyer, Amarkei Armartefio.
Nii Osah Mills served under the erstwhile Mahama administration as Minister for Minister of Lands and Natural Resources.
