Black Meteors head coach, Ibrahim Tanko has invited 24 players for camping ahead of the team’s African U23 Championship double-legged qualifying match against Algeria.
The two u-23 teams of both countries are at the last stage of the qualifying round and need to eliminate the other to ensure they secure qualification into the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations which will also serve as the final African qualifier for the Olympics.
Ahead of the upcoming fixture with the North African side, Coach Ibrahim Tanko has handed call-ups to 24 players to begin camping and prepare for what will be a challenging encounter.
The team is set to begin camping on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, and will hold their first training session in the evening at the El Wak stadium.
The first leg of the tie will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium before the Black Meteors travel to Algiers for the second leg.
