Nollywood Actor, Hanks Anuku, has revealed that he prays the New Patriotic Party flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo wins the upcoming presidential election.
In a chat on Viasat1 flagship program, This Morning, the actor who has been on the campaign trail of the NPP said, “I pray in the name of the lord Jesus Christ that God will make him win.”
Hanks, who was in the studio to discuss the premier of movie, “Nightmare in Accra”, added that governance is not about putting up structures but rather handling the immediate issues affecting the people.
According to the actor: “It’s not about the structure but the immediate problem on ground that hurts the youth, mothers, fathers and the elderly.”
“In life you must always understand the pains in the grassroots for the poor and needy people. I have been there and I know how it feels because they tell me a whole lot about it.” He added.
The actor who has been leaving in Ghana for some time reiterated the circumstances surrounding his arrest in July, 2015.
He said, the arrest was not based on preconceived notion of a bank robbery but emphasized he was on set shooting the movie “Nightmare in Accra”
