Rev. Olusola Areogun Romans 12:3-8
Leadership is one of the most important subjects that you will have to deal with as you grow on in Christ. It is one of the most important subjects on the earth. Romans 12:8 says, “he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence…” (NKJV)
Everything that God does on the earth rises and falls depending on the leadership factor. That is why God is not compromising on the subject of leadership: the requirements, the qualifications, the price to pay, the choices and the selection of leadership.
Until you exert yourself personally to enter into the realm of leadership, you cannot maximize your potentials on the earth. Every pastor that will fulfill the mandate of God for his life and ministry must be serious about the subject of leadership in his life as a leader of men and also in his church.
You cannot continue to function in one role and expect to flourish in the will of God for your life. You must exert yourself and stretch to function as a leader both in your private life and in your career. A husband must crossover to become the leader for the family to be what God wants him to be. A mother must crossover to be a leader if the children will turn out as God planned. The leader thinks of others before himself and labours for the ease of others coming after him, not only for the present.
In the same vein, a pastor must cross into becoming a leader if the church will be what it was called to be. The subject of leadership is extremely important and you should begin to stretch yourself to fit the leadership expectations that God has for you.
Prayer: Father, help me to press on towards the mark of the high calling you have placed on me. I receive the grace to press against opposition and inconvenience till I become the leader you called me to be in all ramifications in Jesus name.
