Mr. Abubakar Issaka, the NDC constituency chairman for Sekyere Afram Plains, is advocating for a collaborative approach to stimulate development in Ghana’s constituencies. He believes that effective collaboration between Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) and Members of Parliament (MPs) is crucial for bringing about the needed development, peace, and harmony in the constituencies.
According to Mr. Abubakar, unity among key stakeholders and leadership from various groups is essential for community building and development. He emphasized the importance of working together to achieve common goals.
Mr. Abubakar, who has been vetted at the NDC regional office in Kumasi, expressed his readiness to represent his people at the Sekyere Afram Plains district assembly. He appealed to the people to unite and support him in bringing development to the area.
This call for collaboration resonates with the Ashanti Regional Minister’s earlier directive to MMDCEs to be development-oriented and work in partnership with stakeholders to identify investment opportunities and create jobs.¹
