C/R:OVER 50 ARCHIS OF COCOA LAND GRAZED DOWN AT AJUMAKO ANYINASU
Over 50 archis of Cocoa land has been grazed down by unknown persons after the Cocoa farmers realise that a road has been constructed through their Cocoa farm to unknown destination at Ajumako Anyinasu in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region.
Addressing the Press in a Press Conference,the aggrieved female Cocoa Farmers laments that,they were in their house when they heard that an excavator is in their Cocoa farm grazing their Cocoa.
According to the aggrieved farmers, they don’t know where the excavator is coming from and who sent them to construct road through their Cocoa Farm.
They are accusing COCOBOD for behind the grazing of their farmland.
They are then demanding for a compensation from anyone who is behind the acts.
They are however calling on the government to go into their aid else they will do a massive demonstration against the COCOBOD and the District Chief Executive of the area.
In addition,the male Cocoa Farmers also hinted that,they don’t understand why over 40 Cocoa farmland has been grazed down without information them all in the name of constructing Road to an unknown destination.
They said,the road was there as footpaths used by farmers buy don’t know why the road has been constructed and don’t actually know where the road is leading to.
Theh have however threatened to fight the foreman who is leading the construction of the road.
Lastly,the Ebusuapanyin of the Ajumako Anyinasu Kow Yeboah in an also stressed that,all the affected Cocoa Farmers in the area solely depend on the grazed Cocoa farmland for living.
He said,as at now the affected farmers don’t know where to get their daily bread so will appeal to authorities, the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District Chief Executive Hon.Ransford Nyarko to go into their aid as much as possible.
