Former AshGold striker Yakubu Mohammed is set to return to the club after spending a year with Moroccan side Raja Casablanca, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 25-year-old terminated his contract with the Moroccan giants and is hoping to join the ailing Miners for the remainder of the league matches.
His arrival will surely bring great relief to the Miners as they have been struggling to score goals in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
Sources close to both the player and the management of the Aboakese side have revealed that the player is hoping to be registered on a special dispensation by the Ghana Football Association.
Yakubu is, therefore, to join the struggling defending champions before they play their last ten games in the league.
AshGold are currently 13th on the league table with 20 points with twelves matches to end the season.
